Abstract
What are the technical consequences of implementing the framework proposed in the
ANSI/X3/SPARC Study Group final report with the
CODASYL DBMS specifications? Such a database environment should offer sufficient flexibility to
realize DBMS benefits immediately by using existing technology while minimizing later costs to use
tecnological improvements. This panel will examine critically the technical factors affecting the
implementation of such proposal.
